Giuseppe Scarani's Sonata Sesta per due canti (Sonata No. 6 in 2 parts), for cornetto, violino da brazzo (violin), and basso continuo (organ, chitarrone, viola da gamba, and viola da brazzo), as presented at the 15th Belgrade Early Music Festival on 27 September 2020 by New Trinity Baroque members David Brutti (cornetto), Christi Park (baroque violin), Ana Torbica (baroque viola), Srdjan Stanic (viola da gamba), Darko Karajic (chitarrone) and Predrag Gosta (chamber organ and direction). Scarani was the contemporary of Claudio Monteverdi. He was a Carmelite monk and organist in Mantua in 1628 and was appointed as a singer at St. Mark's Basilica in Venice in 1629. He published Sonate Concertante in 1630.
